Elefantenrutsche

I always wanted to see one of those in real life so when I finally did last year I was a very happy Thorsten. Sadly there are not many of them around anymore and this one is apparently the last one left on Dresden.

So what exactly is it I hear you say: Well, it’s an early 1960s East German Elefantenrutsche of course, a concrete elephant slide. You climb up the back of the elephant and slide down the trunk. Such fun and such an amazing design by Johannes Peschel.
