Brutal Bochum

I do like a good sports stadium but sadly most of them are a bit nondescript. Not this one!

Ok, it may not be to everyone’s taste in fact I presume very few do like it but I love it for its unapologetic 70s brutalness.

It was built between 1976 and 1979 and is not strictly classed as a new built but merely an extension of what was there before. It’s home of VfL Bochum who currently play in the 2. Bundesliga.
